When should we book Dolce Strings?

To book Dolce Strings, contact us to make sure weʼre available!
We normally book about 6-12 months in advance. Thatʼs not to say we might not be available on your date! There may be last minute dates open, so make sure to contact us as soon as you can.


What do you need in order to hold the date?

In order to lock down the group for your event, we require a signed contract and 50% non-refundable deposit.


What methods of payment do you take?

We take cash, check, or credit card through PayPal (thereʼs a small online processing fee if paying by credit card).


When is my balance due?

Final payment is due 1 month before your event.


Do you perform outdoor weddings?

We sure do! We just want to make (sure) that our instruments (and us!) are protected from any extreme temperatures or precipitation. Our instruments are very delicate and expensive, so we just want to make sure they are in tip-top shape for all of our events.


How far will you travel for an event?

Anywhere within the Cook County Metropolitan area. No fees apply.


How and when do we choose music for our event?

Good news! Our music selection expert will guide you through the process about 2 months before the wedding. We will help you select those rockin' tunes that fit your personality best.


Will you learn music not on your lists?

Iʼm glad you asked, thatʼs actually our specialty! As long as there is sheet music available and the music translates well to strings, we can learn just about anything.


Will you perform with my Uncle Joe or my church organist?

Yes, it would be our pleasure. We love working with other talented musicians! Just let us know in advance and we can coordinate music selections and rehearsal time if needed.


What do you wear when you perform?

Unless otherwise requested, we normally wear dressy black apparel for indoor events. In most cases, for outdoor events, we wear white dresses.


Do you need to be amplified?

We find that for most ceremonies, we donʼt need to be amplified. Everyone is quiet so we are easily heard. For cocktails or receptions, we recommend amplification to be heard over the volume of the room. We have a speaker system that we can bring, which is included in our second hour pricing.
